My girlfriend was absolutely TINY at 8 months. I went to her babyshower and in my head was like "wow human bodies sure are different" cause I was rather blimpish by 8 months and like a beached whale by 9. Any way She ended up going to the doctor for an ultrasound at 36 weeks cause the dr was concerned about the size of the baby. She ended up with a non-stress test and then being rushed in for an emergency c-section and the baby was delivered that very day. The baby was 36 weeks but only weighed 2lbs for some reason. The drs said there was an undiagnosed infection at the placenta, but they didn't know if it was early in the pregnancy or later on. Because the baby weighed only 2lbs, she's considered a micropreemie. They're still feeding her with a tube but she's gradually breastfeeding and it's possible she can go home at 1800 gms.

I did not show at 8 months as well

I was told by a rather ignorant woman that I did not show the day before I had Sydney. My mom told her I was having a baby tomorrow, and she was like, "You don't even look pregnant." I told her, yeah, that's because the baby is not growing and I'm having her tomorrow so she has a chance at life. Pregnant women are not supposed to be thin, but I kept getting compliments on how nice I looked. I looked slimer because I threw up a lot and had a hard time gaining weight, and then because the baby did not grow.
