How to cool nursery?

I've just been trying out the room thermometer in the nursery and it turns out - the room is far too hot. I have a fan in there, but it doesn't make any difference thermometer wise. What are we supposed to do to keep baby cool in hot conditions when the thermometer is off the scale??

Not in the DDC, but saw this while browsing.

Silly question, is your room cool? Do yourself a favor and keep the baby near you. Easiest would be in your own bed, but even using a sidecar crib or bassinet will work.

I'd also recommend not having the baby in that room until the weather cools off. If it's cooler elsewhere in the house, then that's where baby should be. Young babies have a harder time regulating their body temps. If you MUST use the nursery, maybe getting a cheap air conditioner would be the answer.

I would also suggest having the babe sleep in the same room as you. That way, you know whether the room is comfortable.

Yep, I'd go for an air conditioner or having babe room with you.
