hi there. so tonight there is a full moon solar eclipse, and i know that mercury is retrograde until next week. can anyone give any more details if you have any? i did a search but i found all the info quite overwhelming. anyone have a simple version of what the eclipse during a retrograde could mean?

In the latest issue of the Organic Consumers Association newsletter there was a list of things to do in preparation for Peak Oil (still not 100% sure what that means, but I've got a pretty good idea). After reading the list, the suggestions are pretty good to adopt even without the threat of impending disaster.

Hey everyone - my DW turned me on to this discussion... while I will not add any more dire news to what is already being intelligently discussed, I will just say that if you want to make a difference in the current political system, there really is only one viable candidate that is bucking the system. If he was mentioned earlier, I am sorry - but here it is. He is the only one of the Republican nominees (and I think including Dem too) that actually would NOT pre-empitvely nuke Iran. He also wants to abolish the federal reserve, strengthen our borders instead of going after others, etc.

Sorry if I went against any rules about politics or candidates, but I feel strongly this is worth your time. He certainly does not resonate with me on every issue, but the establishment needs a shake up badly.

is anyone familiar with the mayan prophesy of winter solstice 2012? we spent a week at lamani in belize where we viewed the tablet at N9-56... just amazing. what is more amazing is the similarities of timekeeping and mathmatics between many of the native cultures all over the world.

it does seem like an energy shift is occouring towards being closer to the earth... at least momentum seems to be growing in the area of awareness. maybe instead of and "end of times" as some see it, it is a shift in lifestyle?

There was a screening of 2012:The Odessy and a discussion group several months ago in Baltimore (where I used to live). Having two under 3 at the time, I wasn't able to go, BUT I was told that it was a really amazing experience... people from all religious communities realizing and discussing all that they had in common, related to the theories presented.

The biggest realization for DH and I in Belie was how we had always been taught that the Mayans and other native cultures in what we call the Americas were primitive. We spent our week living with decendants of Mayans from Guatamala who moved to Belize during the revolutions and wars in the last century. The technology and knowledge that their ancestors had ASTOUNDED us. It just seems like here we are taught that the Greeks invented everything and that while the conquistadors were not nice people, that life wouldn't have moved on without them... and here we meet people who are decendants of a culture that was every bit as advanced (or more so) than the Greeks... it makes you question everything (you think) you know.

The other thought that I have is that over the past 5-6 years I have seen a pattern in my behaviors... almost a winding down, if it can be called that... maybe it is a natural progression and is normal as I move through life's phases, but I see myself being less attached to material things. Getting affairs in order (living nearly debt free), focusing on the world around me and living more naturally with less... getting my head together spirtually and releasing a lot of the negativity that I had when I was younger. Maybe it is my body's way of preparing for what is to come? A time when we will live with less materially, but have so much more spiritually and communally?

Jsut my random thoughts! I really do not know much about astroglogy or numerology, so I cannot add much there. I can tell you that Belize is a really life-changing place to visit. If you are interested PM me and I can let you know how we "did" it. It isn't veyr expensive at all and we plan to take the girls in a few years when they will be old enough to understand.
