Do you wake the sleeping baby to change his diaper?

i've been wondering too

cerys has nappy rash (i've never had this happen before) and she poos in her sleep.....................

no never
only exception is if there is some really bad kind of leak - even then I'd probably just put another cloth diaper underneath her .....

no, but unlike ds#1, this one can't stand having a dirty diaper and will wake the very second he soils one - so i know when he's done it and needs a changing. ds#1 still doesn't mind a dirty diaper, which may be why he doesn't seem concerned with potty learning. (i asked him if he was ever going to poop and pee in the potty, and he said yes, when he's as big as daddy.)

No way man!

I do if I need DS to wake up and nurse (which isn't very often, he does quite well on his own keeping me drained!). Otherwise, I let him sleep. He only has wet diapers during the night, so he doesn't sit in it for too long.

H*ll, no! I allow our family to revel in what few precious minutes of sleep we are given. But before every feeding, and whenever he wakes up, I do.

Very rarely! Only if I know that she's pooped and its been a while since her last change. Usually she'll wake up anyways. Otherwise... NEVER. We also revel in the precious sleeping moments.

No way in hell!

nope!

We are using 7th generation disposables at night so I don't feel bad about letting him sleep through wet diapers. If we were doing cloth I would be up every hour changing him. I HATE how soaked and clammy he gets with cloth. During the day it doesn't matter because I change him frequently.

I change her diaper between sides. I almost always feed on both sides, even at night, so I will feed her on one side, she falls asleep or gets really drowsy between sides (we call her our little drunken master...she just looks so....drunk on breast milk, it's so cute), so I usually change her diaper to wake her up again, and then switch her over to the other side. On the nights when I am to tired to feed her on both sides, (I know, bad for milk supply, but she has some cranky nights, and when one side will do.....), I change her diaper before hand. But H$#L no would I wake her up JUST to change her diaper!!
