BS"D

Dh wasn't really with it at first, for several reasons. One, he doesn't think he is "in tune" with dd like I am (he thought something like, "only people with boobs can communicate with babies," which was almost true when she was younger). Also, I would sometimes leave the basin-potty around with poop still in it, GROSS! And he did get peed on a couple of times. I remember the first time dh took dd to the potty. I told him that I though she had to go, and to *please* take her. He took her, she didn't have to go, but when he got back he said something like, "I could tell she was really trying to go. She went, 'Uuhh.' Then she was looking at me like she was so happy. Happy that I was trying to help her in a very special way. It was so sweet." So I think he came around, but dh still gets a little annoyed when I'm distracted, and she pees on the floor, etc. Oh, well, he'll just have "tune in" more!

Dh thinks it's great, here Unfortunately he hasn't had much success actually taking her, but he's very supportive in general

He thinks it is great that DS pees in the potty, and he supports me doing it, but he won't take him potty.

He will remind me when DS is fussing that maybe he has to go potty. I guess he's just not ready to do it himself.

SO thinks I am making her do things before her time (she is 8 1/2 months) but what he doesn't know is that I am following her cue. She pulls off her AIO when she has to go and I run her to the potty...she has been doing it for almost 2 months now.

Jeff sort of takes over the EC'ing duties when he gets home from work. As it is time consuming at this point, it gives me a break.

He's been 'for' it since the first time Kenny peed for him! A good man I tell ya!

DH is a preacher....

well, not literally, but he trieds to convert everyone to EC, he thinks it's amazing and wonderful and sometimes will say, looking at a "normal" kid "omigod... they're sitting in their own pee RIGHT NOW!!!" or when kids at playgroup go off and stand in a corner to poop and stink up the whole room.. phew! He's soooooooo glad not to have to fight an 18 month old about poopy diaper changes.

BLessings!
