www.drunkenhousewife.com

Hi, I'm newish here, and I've been blogging. You can find me at www.drunkenhousewife.com.

I'm a stay-at-home mother, who was into breastfeeding (youngest self-weaned), cosleeping, and making my own baby food, but now mine are 4 and 7, and I have time to blog. When my youngest is in elementary school, I'll try to move into a new career, but for now, it's a life of children.

I started blogging as a way to kick-start myself to write again when my oldest was one year old. Sadly, it is now basically all the writing I do although I keep trying to rededicate myself to doing more. The blessing and curse of blogs are that they do provide a "reason" to write, but for me it's all very rough drafts dashed off with one hand while a baby is nursing. http://liminalmusings.com/

I blog.

I started blogging after the horrible tragedy in the Amish school earlier this fall. I felt so moved by the forgiving response of the Amish, that I had to have a place for positive thoughts. That's why I call my blog Plus+Sign.

My blog centers around homeschooling, parenting, simple living, and urban life. The link is in my signature.

Bryan's Book Blog

I blog about the books I read at Bryan's Book Blog
DW blogs about life and everything else inbetween at Escaping to My Happy Place
and we both post pictures of DS at Connor Cam ... which is so much easier than flooding Grandma and Grandpa's email inboxes with photos

I started blogging this past August, it's in my signature. It's supposed to be about all the things I do but lately it's been pretty much all about pregnancy, mommy-hood, and birth.

I noticed on your blog you're a horror fan. Is that "Gage" as in "Gage Creed" from Pet Sematary? or is it just a coincidence? (I'm a Stephen King fan and that's the first thing I think of when I see that name, so just wonderin'.)

Haha, yes, you got it. Though I didn't actually name my son after the character, I fell so in love with that name when I was about nine years old that I swore I'd name my first son that, and I did. The weird part is, I actually know the kid who played Gage now, though he's an adult these days. =)

My DH doens't really get to choose what we name our kids...I try to let him chime in a little bit but yeah, that one falls under the category of what I call: I suffered worse so I get to name them, LOL.

By the way, my newest is also 2 and a half weeks old =)

DW and I like Blogger. I find it to be quite user-friendly and easy to use. At least, we haven't had any problems with it so far.

Kids' Product and Parenting Blog

So many great blogs here! I am loving discovering them through this thread.

My husband and I co-blog at Z Recommends. It'sa blog we are "staging" for our 2.5-y.o. daughter, and we post recommendations of kids products, activities, games, photos, and parenting observations.

Lately we have been posting info about homemade gifts we have made for Z and for other young children (me, quilts {1|2}; DH, some crafty toys {1|2}) and DH has been working with Z on some recommendations of short animated films to show to toddlers as an alternative to the Barneys of the world. He also did a couple of interviews with artists/crafters who involve very young children in their process (one on photography, another on sewing). In other words, a lot of different stuff!:

Z is very interested in taking pictures so we are thinking about getting her a cheap, durable digital camera to start playing with and her first contributions to the blog will probably be photos.

Take a look and please chime in with comments!
