My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...
This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...
This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...
To anyone looking for a carrier, BECO is the brand!
I recently had purchased the Gemini, great carrier! It has everything you will ever need and want, its ergonomic, comfy, organic, made...
I've still got 2.5 hours until it is August here. My heart starts pounding when I think about it! But, I am sure I'll be ready when the time comes. I just can't believe I will be able to say--I am having the baby THIS month!!
I've still got an hour until august. I am so excited. I just had my 38 week checkup today and opted for a vaginal exam because I wanted to know how things are going. Turns out my cervix is 40% effaced, my cervix is soft, but not started dilating yet, so the nurse said it's good progress for now. The baby's heartrate was 132 and I've gained exactly 20 pounds so far. We went over my birth plan and all is good, I left them a copy.
I still have to buy some food for labor and to pack the hospital bag and burn a few cd's to bring along, so I guess I'm not quite ready yet.
I'm guessing since it's been almost an hour and still no big contractions that this labor is going to be different, just like the whole pregnancy.
Who here has labored with/given birth to a posterior baby? What should I expect? Kinda late to be asking, but what else do I have to do right now?? I don't want to start walking and stuff until a little later in the morning, to let everyone else get their sleep! So I'm hanging out here!
I've had an apple and a bagel w/ soy cream cheese and tomato.
TMI: diarrhea an hour ago.
Unloaded the dishwasher and walked around a bit.
Took chunk of frozen baby shower cake out of freezer and put in fridge to defrost.
Got a big stack of cloth wipes wet and put away ready for use.
Twiddling my thumbs. It's starting to get light out.
Spent the weekend babysitting for my four month old niece with my husband and it's made me more eager than ever to meet my baby! I'm SO looking forward to it. I'm not due until the 31st but everyone thinks he's going to make an appearance before then, we'll just have to see.
Hourly update : contractions, but nothing I can't talk through, maybe every 5-10 minutes. I've had some toast, made a couple more trips to the bathroom, and folding laundry to pass the time. The boys are up and fed. This is all just sooo different!
I've been ready for this kid for 3 weeks. Yesterday I went crazy doing weird cleaning. I rearranged the little medicine cabinet in the downstairs bathroom, cleaned the office and shredded papers, and did a mega cleaning of the living room, including the shelves on the lamps that had oj and cheerios all over them (thanks, DD). I crashed around 4pm, but of course I still didn't sleep well. Oh well.
It's listed as the 22nd here (didn't bother changing it), but the midwife's official EDD is the 20th. Yahoo!'s calculator says the 23rd.
But today was the day my midwife and I "decided" on at my last appointment, LOL.
Midwife and 3 of her kids just arrived (the other midwife left for vacation today, so she brought her 20 year old daughter to assist her, and her 12 year old daughter to babysit her 1 year old who is currently outside). What a fun time this is going to be!
