That is cool!

Enjoy the PIS. It will save your hands but is limiting because with the manual you can walk around but with the electric you'll be "attached" to the wall while you pump. It will stimulate your breasts better and both at the same time .

I'm getting milk that is actually falling into the bottle of the pump! It's just a small amount - under a tsp for both breasts combined - but it's something!

I am feeling discouraged, though, because for the first time since birth, Clementine has started refusing me. I don't know what to do about it. Part of me feels like I should just give up since she's not wanting to nurse except for when she's sleeping. She's not a big comfort nurser anyway. I felt like this might happen, but now I'm not sure what to do.

Any ideas??

I guess I should add that today when I pumped, I got way more than I ever have. It was encouraging. Talking to my partner, she felt like it's worth it, it just may take the baby awhile to realize that I have milk. We think with a Lact-Aid and my partner not being around that perhaps it will work.

I think we should have started this about three months sooner!

For now, I'll keep offering, keep pumping, keep doing the herbs/meds. It's so exciting! There's milk coming out of me! Yay!

I think its pretty amazing what the human body can do.

Cool! Sounds like a great plan! I'm also thinking that Clem will be happier to nurse from you when you have a stronger flow whether it be from your own supply or an SNS.

I'm guessing the dom just kicked in .

you know, I think I'm throwing in the towel.

I'm having some issues with my partner and it seems the stress of it all has affected my ability to increase my supply. It's so hard, having to pump so often. I don't have the income to be able to afford more Dom that I'd need to increase my supply.

Blech.

I feel poopy.

oh mama. dom is expensive, i dont blame you for not wanting to buy more.
think you could herb it up and keep pumping?
if you need a hug, come on up. i have great huggin arms.

well, I'm gonna keep trying. I'm hoping the two large insurance payments I have owed to me come in soon. I have enough Dom to get me through another three weeks.

I really want to do this. It's just so frustrating. I have such high expectations. One day at a time. It hasn't even been a month yet!

well, mamas, I've stopped attempting to relactate. It has been so good to get this far and I appreciate all the beautiful support! In the end, Clementine only wants me when she's sleeping or sleepy and there's been alot of struggling with the LactAid. I'm barely getting any milk (about a TBS from each breast, if that, each pumping) and I'm finding it really hard to keep up the pumping schedule.

In the end, if I was her only source of breastmilk, I'd continue working so hard, but I'm not. I'm working towards finding ways to soothe her that aren't so focused on the breast.

This experience has been so healing for me after my experience with my daughter. I thought I would be more sad about relinquishing this experience, but I'm so happy I tried it. It makes me marvel at the human body!

I love you all!!! Thanks!!

we love you too!
i think you did a wonderful thing attempting to relactate, not very many women would do it, you are strong and loving and a great mama.

and yes the human body freakin rocks!
