I'm been on several forums the past few days and the minority against it want us breastfeeding moms to ....
A) stay home
B) cover up with a huge blanket
C) pump and bottle feed
D) use formula while in public
E) nurse in the restroom,car,etc away from people
G) go to jail for nursing past 2 : yep someone said that then tried to post sexual abuse info saying BFing was abuse.

Ugh. I read on salon.com not too long ago about a woman who was taken to court for abuse because she developed a photo of her nursing her baby--an older baby, I think about 18 months, but still, that's insane. The charges were eventually dropped but still, crazy.

If these folks want to force me to accomodate their neuroses, they should pay for it. Because sheesh, their preference for my invisibility is uncomfortable and EXPENSIVE! I want them to buy me the bottles, bottle sterilizing gadget, the NICEST hospital-grade pump on the market, a blanket made of soft, breathable cashmere--in our favorite shade of lavender, natch--and a car--a red Prius would be nice, but I'd settle for any hybrid.

And if they would prefer I just used formula in public, they better pay for that, too, and do the laundry that results.

Well, in addition to voting I sent an email to station management saying that I'm offended they even have this poll up when their question has already been decided by law! I told them I thought the whole point was to divide people and that BFing is natural, it's the formula feeders who should be gawked at! I'm sure it won't accomplish much, they'll probably just chalk me up as some "dirty footed tree hugger" according to DH. But hey, I just regurgitate facts, don't shoot the messenger, KWIM
