Took my first bcp last night! We are on our way to our FET at last!! My energy healer yesterday said she still senses a child hovering around me, and feels strongly that the September cycle is it for us. I have felt that way for some time, and I am really getting excited now!

So, I start acupuncture today, lupron/provera on 8/17, and have my suppression check and start estrogen patches around the end of the month. Jenny, I know you are with me. Anyone else?

Thanks, Jenn!

Melissa - glad to see there will be three of us going forward in Sept. Safety in numbers, right?

I am just super excited to get to the transfer and have my babies inside!!

I hope so. Has anyone here ever done Accupuncture? Since I have time I intend to try it and start my prenatal vitamins and drink plenty of water.

Yes, I did acu. with my first three (!) IVF cycles, including the "lucky" one, and I started back today. My clinic actually encouraged it, because apparently there are now studies saying that it can improve not only success rates, but the actual quality of the lining.

(I had to stop myself from saying, well, duh, and just be grateful that they are into it. )

My acupunturist also hits spots that keep me calm, which in my case is HUGE.

Congrats on getting started, Dena! I was so happy to take a pill every day -- it felt like I was doing something. I wanted to take a pill or something every hour to at least feel like I was doing something tangible to get closer to my goal.

I am having one last, big, pre-FET acupuncture session on Friday.

Oh, I know what you mean, Megan. I was actually eager for af to show up so I could start popping pills. Geesh.

Have a great acu. appt! I just found out my acupuncturist will be out of town the week of my transfer, so I set up something the Friday before - hope it will be close enough. I do plan to go for energy work in the day or so before, or even the morning of, if I can swing it.

Good luck Dena! I'll keep my fingers & toes crossed for you. This is my first month trying actupuncture, but I love it!!!

Just wishing you lots and lots of luck!! I would LOVE to go to an accupuncture session but it would be ages away and blech, I'm not that into driving.

And I'm hoping the Lurpon treats you nicely!

Thanks for the support, Jen and Leslie, it means a lot.

Jen, I read your story on another thread on this site and, if I may be so bold, I would strongly recommend some energy healing. We had a significant birth trauma with dd's birth (severe meconium aspiration, three weeks in the hospital, came home with a feeding tube, etc., etc.,) and a few sessions of energy healing did wonders in helping me to release the trauma and feel like a human being again. I just wish I had done it sooner! (K hear you on the driving, though - if I didn't have an acupuncturist in my town I don't know that I would be so eager...)

All the best to you both!

I am the cheerleading section of this board. Former IVF/ICSI (failed) patient and happy as a clam mama to 2 Kazmanian Devils . I just like to be here to lend support because I remember all the emotions so clearly.

Hope to hear good news for all of you soon. By the way, I am a big fan of energy healing for IVF cycles because there is a LOT of stuff to let go of, even for the most balanced person.

Hurrah, Dena

Thanks, Alisa, April, and Celeste! Got my meds from England today. Funny, but it is not as exciting as it used to be to open up that package and examine all my supplies.

I am super excited about this cycle, though, which is also new. Hmmm...

Alisa and Celeste, how are you two doing? Hoping all is going well for you both!

Lisa, I have a dear cousin who just adopted a little girl from Kazakhstan, and she too is happy as can be. I think that is where we will go if our IVF dreams for a second child don't come true or if we are brave enough to go for a third someday, as we had always said #3 would be an adoptee. I am so glad you found your family and are happy! Thanks for continuing to support us all!

Rooting for all you FET girls!

We are still debating over whether to try one (a FET I mean) next year after I graduate. Meanwhile I'll live vicarously through you all.

Good luck, I hope Sept./Oct. will bring about a host of BFPs!

I had my 3 embryo FET yesterday. This morning I feel inexplicably depressed and emotional. Just hormones, I guess. (Well, that and I had to talk to my rude mother this morning. Ugh.) I'll be taking my beta on the 18th, and I can't wait!!!!

I might be not remembering this correctly, but didn't someone feel some kind of "buzzing" after they had a transfer, IUI, or something? I was resting in the doc's office after my transfer and was dozing off because of the valium. Twice I felt a kind of buzzing or vibration in the area of my uterus. I felt it just those two times and not since. Since I am sensitive to energy (can feel it pulsing when I have acupuncture), I wondered if this could be implantation energy.

Does anyone else remember this? Maybe it was Jenn (Jujusmom)?
