Thanks Megan!

So can you (or anybody) give me some advice on what you did during the last two weeks before your FET that you think may have increased your success rate? I am a little nervous lately that I am stressing my body too much - I have been working extra hours because dh is not working right now, so there have been some long days. On the other hand, they are still not as long as my full time out of the house job before dd was conceived, sooo...

So, other than trying to minimize stress, work and otherwise, anybody have any pearls of wisdom for optimizing the next ten days or so?

I cut back on sugar and caffeine, ate better, did breathing exercises, meditated (even for just a few minutes), drank the red raspberry leaf tea, and kept a positive outlook. The thing I did that I think really mattered was having acupuncture if you can get it done.

HTH!

Thanks, Megan. I am already doing all but the breathing exercises. That and some meditation is a good idea. I am trying to do some visualization as I move through my day, just moment to moment picturing myself pg, with a baby, etc.

I have been doing acupuncture since early August - I did it with my other IVFs, and I do agree that it really helps. I am also going in for energy healing the day before the transfer.

I can't wait!!

Oh, yeah! That's the other thing I did. I had reiki done by a friend.

I had my retrieval today. They got 9 eggs, which was less than they had hoped. Iam hopeful that there will be one perfect embryo come Sunday morning!

Thank you! Doesn't it seem like so much of this process is learning how to wait?!

Yeah, and I am NOT a patient woman. I want it all, and I want it NOW.

Seriously, one of the good things about IF for me is the patience it has taught me. I think it made me a better mother when I did finally get there.

Had my transfer today. The embryos were not of the best quality, but the doctors were very positive and said they were within the criteria to implant just fine. I'm going to try to forget about it now, as the last 2ww was so stressful! What's going on with everyone else?
Oh, I decided to take 1/2 valium today, and am glad I did. I slept most of the afternoon, but don't feel nearly as drugged as I did last cycle.

Well, within the criteria to implant sounds pretty good to me! Our embryos are not the best quality either, as we already used the best ones to make dd, but our clinic also assured us that if they were good enough to freeze they are good enough to make a baby!

I go in for u/s and bloodwork tomorrow. If everything looks good, we can do the embryo transfer on Friday! I am excited, nervous, and crying at everything. Of course, that could be the four estrogen patches I am wearing, too.

Hoping for BFPs for all of us!!

Ultrasound today and my lining looks good - 10 mm!! However, they already have two FETs scheduled for Friday, so the head nurse is asking special permission to add me as a third - they try to keep the work load at a certain level so as not to stress out the embroyolgy lab. I will know early this afternoon what day I will be going, but I would much prefer Friday to have a nice weekend rest!

So, PLEASE think good thoughts that I will still be able to go forward on Friday! I am so excited I can't stand it!!

Thanks, Megan!!

And, we have a date!!

The clinic didn't want me to have to have a transfer on Monday, either, so they are having me on Saturday the 16th to get my babies!! I was going to take Thursday/Friday off (Thursday to finish my pre-pg closet cleaning frenzy ), so I will just move that to Friday/Monday.

Oh, I am so excited I can hardly speak!! At last our frozen little ones are coming home!!

Yahoo!!

Iberk, how are you feeling?!?! I expect to hear great news from you soon!!

I hope that everything goes smoothly for you! Pardon me as I am still learning about the world of infertility, but how long will it take to find out if you are pregnant? Is there a good chance you might have multiples? Either way, best of luck to you!

Thanks for the good wishes, Nicole!

Ask any questions you like - it is the only way to learn.

I will have my pregnancy test 12 days after the transfer, and yes, there is a chance of multiples, as I will be having three embryos transferred, but I had three embies transferred three years ago, and only had one baby, so it could go either way.

My fingers are crossed for you!
