Photos!

I finally managed to get some pics off the camera and into cyberspace.

Here he is!

It's really funny - he LOVES his oldest sister, and she adores him. You can see it in the pics. Our younger DD really doesn't know what to make of him, and he seems suspicious of her too - the pictures crack me up every time I look at them.

He's nursing well, though I'm still pretty sore from the first couple of days. I forget that just because I've done this before doesn't mean HE has!!

So, this little guy is 3 days old, and DH has to go back to work tomorrow. Hopefully not a full day, but he has a trial he can't exactly skip...so it'll be me, a 4 day old, and the two girls...I think that if we get through the day with everybody fed and uninjured, we'll call it a major success. Wish me luck, though. (please)

Oh, and I'm planning to write the birth story sometime soon, but until then, here are some fine things I yelled during labor:

"Somebody get this F*#&*ng turtle out of my a$$" (it was a floating thermometer)

"You all need to read the rules about being QUIET"

"What did I tell you about being QUIET"

"SHUT THE F&#* UP ALREADY, like I told you!"

Oh, and when we were at 9.5 cm and even though my water had broken hours ago, there was a little forebag left, and the MW wanted to break it, my response was "Are you sure you know how to do that?"

Thank god midwives aren't phased by anything. Unfortunately, we had a nurse who was about 12 years old and obviously hadn't seen a lot of natural childbirths. She actually said at one point "I don't appreciate being yelled at" OH WELL TOO BAD FOR YOU! Unless you're going to come over and push this baby out, that is.

Awww, he is so precious! And you little girls are gorgeous too!

I'm giggling over the stuff you said during labor.
I said some crazy stuff too (may have been the stadol) I claimed that I was spiderman.

I found your nurse's comment the funniest, in the circumstances!! I went round to the neigbour's yesterday and heard a great impression of myself yelling 'GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME AND DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN!' They were imagining what poor dh had been doing but I remember quite distinctly it was my wonderful midwife

He's beautiful! Congrats on your healthy little guy. The girls are too funny... your second daughter looks pretty uncertain! I'm sure she'll get comfy with her little brother in no time though
