I'm seven days over starting week 41 today! It's so hard waiting. It is nice to see a sudden surge in activity for some of us that are last. Was beginning to wonder if we all would be pregnant forever!

Carliec76, Mrs Surplus, and kstsmith....your babies are on their way! Not much longer.

Mine only went 8 days overdue, and while i was actually wondering if it was going to happen on the 7th day, it was over by the end of the 8th. For me it got darkest before the dawn.

hoping at least one if not all of you are in labor before tomorrow!

I went 14 days over this time and 16 days over last time. I know what it's like to feel broken. You guys can do it! You're doing amazing. People who haven't been through it can't understand...it's one of the hardest things in the world. Peace to you all.....

Enjoy it mamas, I am actually kind of jealous. I was not "due" until the 29th of August and ended up giving birth on Tuesday at 36 weeks, and now I have a little boy in the special nursey dealing with underdeveloped lungs.. I would have given anything to go "over". I guess we all just have to trust our little ones to come when they're ready.

I'm still here and still pregnant, about 5 days overdue. I went 10 days past the last time, but had to get induced because of PIH. Thankfully, I've avoided the BP issues this time, but we're still not quite at the point of meeting this little one yet. At least this time I've been making progress. Last time I was "high and hard" when induction started. This time I'm already 50% effaced and 1 cm dialated, so I figure that's at least progress. I tend to grow large babies so we've scheduled an induction date for Monday, though I'd really love to avoid it (and my OB thinks I will, but what the heck does she know about that?!?!?)

My doula has suggested a bunch of homepathic ideas including versions of black and blue cohosh, but I'm feeling conflicted about taking them. Anyone have any experience with these who can offer some advice?

I know we won't be pregnant forever...but man does it feel that way.

Well yesterday I had my membranes swept. My midwife is highly confident I will go into labor. She was really great and comforting. Funny she has another client who was due the same day as I was and she too is over due and the day before I went in for the sweep she went in to see the midwife and was a total wreck. At least I have someone else going thru the same thing.

So she checked me and I was a stretchy 3cm just like I thought I was (this morning I am a stretchy 4cm []) Baby is at 0 station but I knew that she is right where she should be. She felt her head and it is still soft and pliable not something you would find in a baby that had been inside too long. Her movement and heart rate are excellent I already knew that but it made Daniel feel better to see her heart rate rise and lower and she got messed with.

For the membrane sweep. This morning I have been having some fairly good contractions but I am still being conservative as to whether they are real or just a temporary thing. I do have some bloody show but that I chalk up to the membrane sweep and am not counting it yet as bloody show.

So I will keep you all updated! Thanks for caring gals.

Carlie

I'm going to pretend that the rain about to fall outside is labor dust from your fairies :

FYI....I asked for a username change. Started making me feel a little uncomfy having my last name visible for all to see since I'm spending a lot more time on MDC the last several months. Not that I'm worried about you all....just the people who might be lurking in dark, kwim?

s Thanks for the reminder - and I'll be thinking of you and your little one.

I hope things have sped up for you, Carlie.

The major events for my kids are over now (auction tomorrow - and I'd like to be there for that)...but I was holding out for the events yesterday and the day before...so anytime now would be good for me...
