Guidelines for safer vaccinating?

I have a friend who is choosing to vaccinate her baby, due in the fall. I have sent her information to hopefully get her to at least do some research, but she explained that her dh wasn’t vaxed for certain illnesses and he was “lucky enough to have a strong immune system to help him get through the diseases” but she wouldn’t want her baby to go through that. (yikes)

So, I was thinking of maybe sending her some info on how to vaccinate “properly” or perhaps, more “safely” (if that makes sense).

Can you help me put together a list of things that will help? For instance:

1)Do NOT use Tylenol before or after vaccinating.
Reason (is there a short answer here?)

2)Do not give vaccines at birth, as any reactions will be disregarded and said to be normal for your baby
Reason: how do you know if your child has reacted if you don’t know what is normal behavior for your child

3)Nurse your child during the “shots”

4)Do not do multiple “shots” in one visit
Reason: if your child reacts after multiple shots, you will not know which shot caused the reaction

5) Do not vaccinate if your child is ill or has been on antibiotics recently (input specific time frame, please!)
Reason: the immune system is working to fight off the illness and any foreign substances will hinder the process

If you have other suggestions, or better answers to my "reasons," your input would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks. I guess if people are going to vaccinate without any real research, perhaps we can at least help reduce the chances of a reaction.

Tylenol can impair the body's ability to detoxify itself, which is not a good idea when injecting toxins into a baby.

If you have a feeling in your gut, listen to it. You can always reschedule the appointment.

How about Cave's book; it has a delayed schedule in it.

I guess I was thinking of a "quick reference" guide, but I think having a few book suggestions wouldn't be a bad idea.

1- Vaccines have never been tested.
2- Vaccines contain toxic additives and heavy metals.
3- Vaccines are contaminated with human and animal viruses and bacteria
4 - Vaccines can cause serious immediate side effects.
5 - Vaccines can cause serious long-term side effects.
6 - Vaccines do not necessarily protect against infectious diseases.
7 - Doctors, as paid salesmen for vaccine products, are no longer considered to be trustworthy arbiters of their safety and effectiveness.
8 - Pharmaceutical companies have paid for almost all vaccine research to date.
9 - Doctors and health professionals rarely if ever report vaccine reactions.
10 - Some childhood illnesses have beneficial aspects and therefore, prevention may not necessarily be in the best interests of the child.

In fact, the NVIC reported that "In New York, only one out of 40 doctor's offices [2.5%] confirmed that they report a death or injury following vaccination," -- 97.5% of vaccine related deaths and disabilities go unreported there.

Simply put, the vaccine is 100 times more deadly than the disease.

- delay until at least 2 years old

- READ the inserts

- KNOW the adverse reactions

- REPORT any reactions

What about separating the combo vaxes - is that helpful or more dangerous?

Personally I would avoid the combos where possible. It's rare to naturally have measles, mumps and rubella all at once. BUT one down side is that then you get a bunch more of the extra crap.

I would say delay until you are certain your child does not have any brain, immune system, or metabolic problems as a natural part of their genetic make up.

: Delay forever is ideal Most people assume that the baby is perfect when the PKU assorted screen comes back. If only it were that simple, eh?

If only anything were simple.
