Bonding tape disaster ~ Please Help!!

Please, can you help me??
I am finished with my friend's shirt, and, as I usually do with craft projects, I screwed it up at the last minute. I decided to use some bonding tape to keep the inside of the neck interfacing down, because it just kept popping up. Well, the glue on the bonding tape went through the material, and there is a white line on the outside of the shirt now

It's ruined!!!
I removed the bonding tape, but some of the glue remained. Does anyone know how I can get the remaining glue off?? I've tried a hot iron and some scraping.
Her bday celebration is tomorrow. I was so excited to give her this shirt. Now I've ruined it, and it was completely finished.

You could try getting it wet and scrubbing at it with a mild detergent and a nail brush or something ...? Depending on the fabric type. I've never had this happen to me - I rarely use stitch witchery, and haven't used any other bonding agents either really. Do you think it's permanent discoloration of the fabric, or more of a residue on the fabric sort of situation?

In the future - you can tack down interfaced facings at shoulder seams etc. to help them lay more flat, and also do a few quick invisible stitches along the facing line if it still won't lay flat. IME interfaced sections are less likely to lay nicely, if the interfacing is of a heavier weight than the fabric "wants," KWIM? I always try to err on the lighter side for interfacing, unless I'm making something super-tailored.
