Totally. I had the best day today - my MIL came over and we had lunch at Panera, then walked around Target. I know, wheeeeeeeeee! Not very exciting but I had someone to talk to!

nak - that's awesome!! I love days like that. I truly think, that because I am calm and having a good time, she is too. Also, I think that some babies when in an atmosphere like a mall or a restaurant ect just get a bit overstimulated, and sleep more to escape, or because it relaxes them. Mine sure seems to.

Mine too, Sabbath.

My SIL came to town last night and is staying with us. TBH, I was kind of : and : about the idea of a house guest, but you know, it's been a great day! We chatted all day about nothing serious, she played with the toddler and helped me with chores, and it was really the easiest day I've had since dp went back to work! woo!

And Panera+Target sounds awesome to me too!

I had the same initial thoughts about my MIL and SIL coming out here. But they were wonderful to have. By the way - I love the quote in your sig line Amy!!

Cori. Moms from the previous generation just don't get it! My mom told me how she left me to CIO and I turned out fine Part of me feels bad for her b/c my dad didn't help at all and she was sort of on her own, but it's certainly no surprise that our generation needs so much therapy

Anyhoo the last 2 days have sucked for us too. LOTS of crying from both of us. Yesterday I told DH he had to come home or I would sell off DD on ebay.

Too bad we can't all get together IRL to commiserate! Just know you are not alone
Thanks! It does help to know others are going through this and it isn't because of something I'm doing 'wrong'.

We went to my mom's yesterday all day and I swear, he was a completely different baby. Maybe he hates my house, LOL! He slept most of the day and cried at normal times! He also pooped there so I think that may have something to do with it - finally passing it out. I'm noticing his poop getting thicker and thicker - like peanut butter. I'm going to post about it on the breastfeeding board I think. Otherwise, after a seriously bad Thursday and Thursday evening/night, Friday was a dream. Phew.

Hugs to us all!
