Will thunderstorms bring on labor?

Is it a wives tale, or is it true?

Will a thunderstorm bring on labor or make my water break because of the pressure changes? There's one brewing in my backyard. Maybe it's just wishful thinking!

Crashing in from Jan. DDC (and I'm friends with TanyaS IRL). I thought about you during the storm yesterday, wondering if it made your water break. I've always heard that about changes in barometric pressure - especially in hurricanes. I guess it didn't work, huh?

Nope. I thought last night was "it." I had some very strong contractions, a huge amount of pelvic pressure and couldn't get to sleep. I finally got to sleep and of course they stopped.

for me labor started on a night with ligtening-the kind in the sky -but no storm, but it was the first night with any action in months.
