Responses to Playboy's pro-intact stance - Page 2

I want one, but I have no clue where to get one.
Borders sells them. Lots of gas stations do too - I saw them at Sheetz.

Everytime the whole Playboy thing comes up, everyone seems to forget Hustler which took this stance and published a very blatant anti-circ ARTICLE in 1979. Where's the props for them?

Well this is this month's issue.
Does Hustler still publish even? Perhaps we could request a rerun of their stance, hah!

My husband is sitting next to me, much amused by this thread. Right away he pipes up, "Yes. Of course they (Hustler) still publish."

He says he has seen them while book shopping at Barnes & Noble.

Very cool!

I didn't know about Hustler publishing that. Very very cool.

You can buy it for $35. May 1979. They call it mutilation on the cover! Go Hustler! (warning, pictures of magazine covers with scantily clad women!)

I have a fun OT story to tell. My step-son (15 and intact) is visiting. Hef and his 3 "bunnies" (3 women on the cover of that issue) were at Tower Records on Sunset Blvd. the other night to sign/promote his new DVD.

DH thought it would be fun to take his son. So they went, took pictures with Hef and all 4 signed that cover of Playboy (DH refused to buy it for him, he went ahead and bought it himself). I still can't believe it!

I'm in awe : that he got his mag signed! To L... Hef... and so on.

I have a photo gallery of the event, but don't want to share it will all you guys (because I don't know any of you!)

But at least those women are consenting adults. I'm sure playboy would object if americans started getting implants for their baby girls.

Hmm may be I should by a copy of playboy. It gives me a excuse to pick up my first one!

I wrote to PB

to give them Kudos.

I tried to find info about Playgirl but nothing online. I've understood that most American women still prefer cut and therefor cut their own sons, magazines like Playgirl could do great advocacy to show intact men.

Only thing I do remember - and this was years ago - when Playgirl came to Russia, it did not go well since Russian women were totally weirded out by circumcised penises.

It's great to see Playboy take this stance. I'm not huge into porno but I have noticed intact men are more of a desired commodity for these films. Anything that can educate men/women on the "phenomenon" (by US standards) of thre foreskin! I guess it serves to benefit the female porn stars, so they'll know circ is the true main source of sexual frustration.

Yeah, I got that. Really.

What I don't get is placing Playboy on a moral pinnacle at a website frequented mostly by progressive women. The way the P'boy empire treats boobs as a commodity is one of the reasons women get criticized for bf'ing in public. Boobs aren't for babies, they're for biz, doncha know?

Actually strangely enough they are not so fond of that look any more, they tend to aim for medium sized women with breasts which do not look like they have had bicycle pumps affixed to the nipples and inflated.

Or...Um...At least, so I am informed...I watched a documentary on it. For social studies purposes. Obviously.

Moving on...

Yay for Playboy! And, apparently, yay for Hustler as well! I am very glad to hear this, I could imagine this having some impact.

It makes sense that Playboy would take this stance, given that Heff is intact.

Heck, it's helping to convince DH that circumcising our (hopefully!) future son is idiotic and pointless. Please...if it looks weird and grosses women out, (2 of DH's lamer arguments) how does Heff get so much play?
