Hi mamas!

Patience Ivy has arrived, last night at 1:48 a.m. weighing 8 lbs even....gently waterborn at home...is sleeping soundly now so I am going to go join (just up for a snack GAWD am I hungry!!!!!)

I can't believe how different the care of a homebirth midwife is from my prior experiences -- this was my biggest baby of the 3 and I have no tears and no abrasions and no hemmorhoids, unlike my last two. It was a dream of a birth experience and i will post pix later today.

Hang in there August mamas These babies are worth the wait.

Sounds like you had a wonderful birth! I'm so happy for you! Can't wait to see pics and hear the rest of the story.

At first I thought the thread title was referring to being patient that our babies would come!

Hope you were able to get some sleep and are enjoying some cuddle time with sweet Patience.

Thanks for posting that about the home birth. Mine will be a home birth, too and it's reassuring to hear yours went so well.

Aaaaahhhhhh! How wonderful. Thanks for sharing the pictures!!! You know, I'm really good at being patient until I see all the wonderful pictures of all the precious new babies!!!
