Berry stain on my cutting board!

Blackberries. Big pink/purple stain.

How do I get it off???

What is the material of the cutting board? Is it wood or plastic? Especially if it is plastic, I would try the easiest remedy first: Stick it out in the sun for a couple of hours! That gets rid of lots of stains, esp off plastic!

However, if it is wood, you may be outta luck. I have black stains on my wood cutting board from portabella mushrooms that have just never come off!

It's wood and my housemate's dad made it for her.

Try pouring some salt on it and rubbing it in with half a lemon. (Cut a lemon on half, pour on the salt then scrub.) Then try the sun-it helps most things.

I wonder if OxiClean might work?

Sand it and re-oil it??

I was going to suggest lemon juice. Lemon juice & salt sounds even better.

My first thought is to get a bunch of blackberries and stain the whole thing... :
