Glad to hear everything's okay!

(I love it when I don't get to read threads like this until there's a resolution! )

So glad everything is okay!

I'm so glad things are fine. You shouldn't feel bad about worrying, this is your precious babe, of course you're going to be concerned!

Hope the old due date is the right one, it would be kinda lame to go backwards at this point!

Hi, I'm not in your DD club, but saw the thread on the new posts page and couldn't not comment. Don't worry about the US. With my DD they were worried about BP problems I was having and did three US toward the end of my pregnancy when DD wasn't moving around much. All three times the techs got different weights AND dates. My BP went up so much in the end that I ended up with a CS, so I never got to know if any of the dates were right or close. The weights were off by as little as one pound and as much as 2.5. IOW, take it all with a BIG grain of salt.

And I'm glad everything is ok!

Also not in your DDC, but I was really worried and kept checking back in. I'm SO glad everything is ok!

BTW, when I was about 36wks with DS1, pretty much the same thing happened. I realized I hadn't felt him move all day and I was terrified. I called DH in a panic and we headed to the hospital. After strapping a fetal heart monitor on me and giving me some orange juice, the little man started kicking heartily again. I was SO relieved. I also felt very embarrassed and did much the same thing you did - I apologized to everyone in the room several times over

The nurses all said that I did exactly what I should have done and not to feel badly about it (they were really supportive and friendly there). Looking back, I'm so glad I got everything checked out. I'm glad you did, too! Please don't second guess yourself on this one. I still wouldn't hesitate if I felt no movement (or a large decrease in movement one day). You did the right thing

Well, I can breathe again! I have been stalking this thread waiting for updates! So glad all is well and you have nothing to feel bad about. You wouldn't have felt better if there WAS a problem, you should always follow through whether it winds up justified in the end or not. It is your body and your baby...I am sure your dh was glad you followed up too! Peace of mind for you both!

please, please, please don't feel stupid. I was so nervous for you when I read this thread. It was exactly what happened to me two months ago.
I'm so glad that everything in okay. don't even think about the u/s dates/weight, what a lot of BS that is...

In my case, I felt like it was just my imagination, that i was just really busy and just not paying attention to weather or not he was moving, and didn't do anything about it till almost 24 hrs. later. I was at my sister's house at the time and she and dh were saying, I'm sure everythings fine, he's just sleepy and you've been too busy to notice his movements. I don't know if I could have saved my son if I had not dismissed my thoughts, but it's always a good idea to get it checked out if you feel something might be wrong.

I'm realy not trying to scare anyone here, just want you to know that if you are worried about something, get it checked out.

Don't feel dumb! I have a friend who had that feeling & she was right. So it is better to check it out then just let it go. In fact when you first posted about it I thought, I would have not even waited to go have someone listen for a hb if I really was worried & I certnily would not have gone alone, DH would ahve been called out of work to go too. But I am SOOO glad to hear that it doesn't matter now because baby is fine!!!

I just posted on this very topic in another thread. What I wrote was: I don't know why, but sometimes, throughout this pregnancy, I just get so scared. This is another one of those times. I haven't felt the baby move much the last couple weeks. I've been charting fetal movements and on paper it looks just fine. But when, like now, I realize I haven't been paying attention for a couple hours, and realized that since I ate dinner, I haven't felt her move at all. So then I start pushing gently on her, so see if it will get her to move. And I swear I could tell where her butt and legs are when I did it. And she still didn't budge. Maybe it just means she's a heavy sleeper. but I still get so scared. oh.... okay, she just moved as I was typing this. whew.

Oh, good. The very same thing happened to me while I was pregnant with DS, and it IS scary.

Glad you got it checked out and have some peace of mind. My kid woke up about the minute he got on the fetal monitor, making me feel more sheepish than ever.
