S/he should know that s/he had at least one staff member who was openly hostile and judgmental towards a breastfeeding mother.

Hopefully s/he'll re-educate the staff on BFIP policies/law -- and maybe s/he'll even be able to ID the clerk who was so rude and put a reprimand in her file.

Worst case scenario, s/he will blow your complaint off -- but if the employee was that comfortable being so inappropriate, chances are that it's happened in other situations (or would happen again). And if there's a way to stop it (because there's not always another person there to defend the BFIP mother) -- then it should be pursued.

I know, since you're from out of town, identifying which store this occurred at and contacting them might not work well for you, but if it is possible ... definitely do so!

KUDOS to you for standing up for that mom! Hopefully she will remember you more than the nasty comments, and feel confident about continuing to BFIP when she needs to.

Actually I think people were pretty accepting in the stone age. This is more like the Dark Ages!

Great job! Way to go! (If I knew the codes, I'd enclose a few smilies! )
