that would be too awesome. If only we had more milk banks (and moms willing to donate), bf education and support, maternity leave, pumping facilities, normalization of bf.... You know, I really do blame society for the necessitation of formula. It is possible for all babies to recieve breastmilk, but not in today's society! My main goal in lactivism is to work toward the goals I stated so that one day formula will be a thing of the past, no longer necessary even under the harshest of circumstances.

Not banned, just made a Rx only item.

but we technically COULD get to the point where it would be made obsolete, and therefore it would not be needed even as Rx.

Besides, with the sorely lacking education of doctors in general on the subject of human lactation, it would be vastly over-prescribed.

Ya know, I'd just like to see the formula companies get an advertising ban like they have in the UK, where they can't give out samples or advertise on TV, magazine, etc.

And I'd like to see more hospitals that DON'T provide formula to babies. If you go to the hospital and intend to ff, then bring your own. And for all OB/GYN's, nurses, and hospital staff to have extensive training in lactation, breastfeeding problems, breastfeeding in general!

Isn't that a nice pipe dream!
