It can be done, but you're talking about major, major management issues. Never let them be alone unsupervised, never let them get a toy between them, never let them get food between them, never have a child in the room with the two of them, don't let them out together if there's a chance that they'll see a third dog, etc. It is a big fat hairy deal, so MANY serious Pit fanciers strongly recommend against having more than one in the house.
