What are your favorite books about homeschooling (not websites, I'm pregnant and mainly like to lay on the couch lol)? Meaning books for the parents not the kids.... :

maybe I'm just the only crazy reader, huh.... I read books about anything, and want inspiration....

No, there are books mentioned all the time in various threads, but for some reason, it just seems hard to get book suggestions corralled into one thread. Lillian

I really got the most so far out of reading Linda Dobson's homeschooling books. Those really made me feel like not only COULD I homeschool but that I was doing the right thing for my children. I really think that I liked that the books had articles and interviews from other parents that have been there. Some for a long time and others neophites themselves. I especially liked hearing that some parents start with school....switch to home....switch back to school....etc depending on what their children needed/wanted.

Yes! Those books are really great places to start - they're all full of input from lots of parents who have had a wide variety of experiences, and all beautifully woven together by Linda Dobson. Lillian
