Loss of appetite

Hi ladies. I don't know anything about ppd, and I was just talking to a mom of a baby who is about 2 weeks. She told me that she has no appetite whatsoever. Can that be a sign of ppd? She has a lot of stress right now, including recently becoming a single mom and having some major nursing issues (this is why were talking about appetite because she is worried about her bad nutrition hurting her bm). Anyway, I was just wondering if loss of appetite was a sign of ppd, or if it's just a new mom thing (I always forgot to eat in the beginning).

It could be. Does she have other symptoms? At two weeks pp life is never normal anyway. Is she able to eat a little even if she's not hungry? Could friends prepare some good food for her that might sit well with her?
