OMG... I laughed till I cried... LOLLOLLOL something about that guy running around while the snakes are flying into the tub going "We shoulda gone to the hospital!" ROFLMAAAAAAAOOOOOOOO!!! I'm still crying. OMG thank you!!!!! I have to watch that anytime my anxiety gets a little overboard

They are actually good friends of mine. I was her doula at the actual birth. : The funny thing is that she actually went into labor a couple of hours after filming this.

Yes, I live in MO, which sometimes feels like no-mans land for homebirth.
She has a great sense of humor. She is a member here, so I will see if she will post about her birth and tell you a little more about the video.

Hannah just told me this was here. I'm glad you all (well most of you ) got a kick out of it. I was a bit reserved about filming it, but in hindsight I am glad I did it. He came up with the idea.. and yeah it was a spoof on Snakes on a Plane. He was nervous about the birth and I think this was a way to lighten up? The birth was wonderful. It was at home and uneventful.. although during labor I was on hands and knees in the kitchen and kept seeing this thing under the stove.. it was a snake from the night before.. lol
We filmed it on 4th of July and Parker was born on the 5th at 8 AM I'll post the birth video someday.

Too funny. I think there are actually three (at least two) different threads about your video if you want to check them out. You guys are funny. I'm sure your dd is going to be a little comedian as well.


You know, we have a 4 ft long snake (she's very sweet and docile) and she was just missing, in our house, for an entire week. So we could've had a big 'ol snake on just about anything...really.

I saw this link a week or two (?) ago but got an error when I clicked it, so this is the first time I've been able to see this infamous "snakes at a homebirth" video.

Ohmygoodness. I can't stop laughing. Something about the husband running back and forth back and forth with little regard to his wife covered in snakes while yelling "We should gave gone to a hospital!" :
