OMG I am still laughing at this, even after reading the entire thread!!! That was just ridiculously funny to me!!!

Another delayed response....was anyone else worried at first that the joke was going to be that mama was going to BIRTH snakes? I kept thinking, please no please no!

I haven't laughed that much in ages!!!!! This is so going to be required viewing for my clients' families, especially nervous in-laws.

I think what I like most is the captioning "90% of homebirths are safe......10% are not...." We are always so sober about risk, and to a degree we need to be, but this puts a wonderful, hilarious spotlight on the irrationality of the fear surrounding birth outside the hospital - where I am told by my physician friends - ANYTHING could go wrong! Apparently so - even snakes.

Obviously they should have gone to a hospital.
