Elizabeth Rae was born at 2:41am on Friday August 11th, at 6lb 6oz and 19 1/4 inches. (I really WAS in labor!)

Labor was a little over 12 hours, and I made it through without drugs or anything. I'll write more later. It's our first wedding anniversary, so I gotta go be with my family.

I don't know when I'll actually feel like writing about the labor experience, but I will say that the hour and a half I pushed, I sounded like a lion-bear -- very primal -- as I held onto the headboard and kneeled. She came out with her eyes open!

What a beautiful baby! That first ride is so much more eventful than I ever imagined it'd be, back when we brought DS home. So cute, her sucking the fingers.
