Our dog(GS) who is no longer w/ us bit my cousin last yr. and I had a heafty ER bill. She was having ALOT of swelling and it was really hurting so she decided to go. Anyway, I have a copy of the bill here and just out of curiosity do any of these treatments sound like a vax:

NS 100ML +
ED-URGEN
CBC WITH A
INTERMEDIA

Thanks, just wondering what I paid for

NS 1000 ml is just fluid that they gave her. Normal saline, one litre.
ED-Urgen- is probably short for emergency dept. urgent care fee
CBC with A - the CBC is a blood draw, complete blood count.
I don't know what intermedia is. I googled it and didn't come up with anything.

Having worked in a medical clinic (several years, but it may still be relevant info...) Intermedia is probably Intermediate, (cutoff). They have different levels of depth of care-they escape me at the moment but I do know that each level has a different ICD-9 code.....

It sucks to get old. you can't remember squat.

Personally i will get the first set of shots but after that only rabies.
I had experienced way too much cancer involving my cats and dogs.
I also don't use chemicals. I only suggest using something pharmecutical or chemical as a last resort.
When you go to your vet, make sure he explains EVERYTHING THEY ARE DOING. If they give you a hard time, find another vet, personally a homeopathic vet or hollistic oriented vet.

But then again, i fix all my animals and they usually stay on my property with limited contact from other dogs and cats.

It doesn't sound as if your dog got vaxed. Just be aware and don't take no baloney from anyone, and read read read. Prevention and precaution is worth a pound of cure........and that doens't mean you have to vaccinate anyone or anything to the point of autoimmune disorder, neurological damage or cancer.
Knowledge is Power.
