Medicaid requires vax?

I'm looking for some Louisiana moms who have children enrolled in KidMed to answer a couple questiions of mine or even if anyone would know, I looked up their site but nowhere does it say it's required except on the charts, up at the top of the chart it says required schedule, but in other places of the site it contrdicts that...

I'm smartening up and looking into vaxing, so here comes the first question: Does anyone know if Louisiana KidMed REQUIRES you to get your child immunized, and on their schedule?

No medicaid or insurance program of any sort can require vaccination. If they did they would be discriminating based on religion.

They cannot *require* that you vax because they would be in violation of Louisiana state law, which allows both medical and religious exemptions to vaccination. They might try to bully you into it, but they cannot force you. Both my kids have medicaid and are not vaxed, but I'm also in a different state, but overall they cannot force you.

Vaccinatation is not a condition of enrollment for any health insurance plan (state or private) and your coverage cannot be terminated if you do not vaccinate.

As angelpie said, they may attempt to "encourage" you to vaccination, but no exemption would be needed in order to qualifiy for coverage.

This is good to hear, b/c I'm on the fence about it, but I'm leaning toward a delayed scheudle of selective vax for the new babe on it's way. I really don't want babe subjected to more trauma after being born of being injected with stuff, interfering breastfeeding and god knows what else.

Keep researching! There are MUCH more important reasons to not vaccinate than just the needle.
