Is it Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired?

(I looked it up at http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/. I can usually find good meanings there. They even know what NAK stands for!)

Yup. If you have something like an addiction (be it to alcohol, food, or just pulling your hair out and screaming!!!) it's said never let yourself get too Hungry, Angry, Lonely or Tired. That helps you from falling into a pit of stress and whatnot. My pediatrician is headed to South Africa to do some very hard volunteer work with sick children.....for an entire year. I gave her the H.A.L.T. advice because being away from home in a different cultrue with so much sickness and poverty and need, day in and day out is bound to create stress, and quite possibly a nervous breakdown!!! LOL!

Have a great day.

Actually it is HALTT. Hungry, Angry,Lonely, Tired, Triggered. And I am usually at least one or all for these for most of my day.

How interesting!!!! I never heard the "triggered" part. It gives me something to think about. And it makes HALTT even more useful.

Thanks.
