Yesterday was a good day for my intactivist self!

During a chat with MIL I found out that the great majority of the maternal side of DH's family are intact. His grandfather, and all of his cousins are all intact!!! DH was suprised when I relayed the information later. MIL says they are all intact because they were all born at home (!)

So DH and I were chatting about circ last night, and he tells me he's thinking about restoring (this is previously the guy who was "over my dead body" that DS wouldn't be circed, and then moved on to "there is no way I would EVER consider restoring")

Yep, yesterday was a good day! (Anyone got any links about restoration I should give him if he asks?)

That is so great he is learning and willing. The restoration sticky prolly has tons of good info.

If you find out how to successfully encourage a dh to restore let me know!! I've sent him the links, gently talked about, even offered to help...but he sits on the fence. I'm trying to be patient and no say anything for awhile!

Maybe there is hope for my dh. I told him about restoration and he thought it was stupid. So, while he's in the "intact" camp, he's still in the no way to restoration camp.

Thats great! I recently found out that my grandpa was iffy on the circumcision issue with his sons but at the time it was still very much the norm and concidered medical necessity. My grandma basically said that they needed it done and she was the decision maker At least no one really cares that my ds is intact....I know some families where it is just such a huge issue. Like its any of their business.

My DH wasn't really interested in restoration until I flat out told him the benifits to it (and in turn had to tell him of some of the problems he has due to circ)

He seems pretty excited about it now. He was researching all day at work today!!
