reusing candle jars?

I have a bunch of candle jars and other holders (all glass) that I used to make soy candles last year. Now they are all burnt and I want to reuse them to make more candles since I still have some soy wax. But, there is a good bit of wax residue in them. How do I clean it out?

I'll be very grateful for any ideas!

Thanks.

I have heard the wax comes off easily if you freeze them, but I have never tried myself. That is one of the bazillion things on my A and C to do list.

well, the good thing about that method is that it couldn't get much easieir. I will have to try it and let you know. Now just to dig up those jars . .

Thanks!

Freezing works, but if you're talking about the candle jars that scented candles come in, I've found it also makes them break very easily if you try to get the wax out while frozen.
I reuse mine to store grains, beans, and seasonings in.

I boil the wax out, in water deep enough it covers the entire jar, let it cool, skim off, and pop out the glued-in wick base with a butter knife.

ah, I do have a variety of jars, the candle jars and other things I used as candle holders. So, I guess I could boil a bunch in one pot. And the wax will float to the top.

Thanks, I am not crafty at all (why you have probably never seen me on this form) so I need all the help I can get
