Phasing out plastic toys?

I'm thinking I want to get rid of all plastic toys in our house.

I don't know how it's going to go over with everyone though!! :

Have you done this? How did you do it without causing an anarchy. Where do you find/buy your natural toys?

HABA makes great wooden toys. www.rosiehippo.com is a great site for natural toys, as is www.threesisterstoys.com.

Everybody feels differently about plastic--my feeling is, if you already have them, you may as well keep them--the damage has been done, kwim, as far as using those resources. The toy is there, you have it. Throwing it away prematurely just puts them in a landfill all that sooner.

Nahh I'll definately be freecycling or Ebaying them. I'll only be getting rid of toys that the kids have grown out of anyway.

We don't have a lot of toys because I'm pretty good about getting rid of toys with broken or missing pieces. Thanks for the links!
