yes that's exactly what I did - I went to health and healing, selected "search this forum" and put in "fungus, fungal, infection, black walnut (I was trying to find info about using black walut hulls to treat a fungal infection) and every variation I could think of.

I got pages and pages of hits, including all those very, very long healing the gut threads - which BTW might contain incredible information but are absolutely impossible to read through to find it.

But that also prevents you from seeing any discussions that were started in the wrong place and then locked instead of moved to the correct forum, where they would be found with that type of search.

I just tried clicking Search at the top of the page, then clicking Advanced Search. On the new page I just used 'walnut' as the search term, chose to show results as posts, selected Health and Healing as the forum to search in, and unchecked the 'search child forums also' option. After submitting that, I got 75 posts/4 pages of results (including some from the healing the gut tribe, but as just the posts, they were easier to poke through).

Maybe that will help you a bit? I hope you feel better soon.

Wow, that is a lot of steps over and above what I was doing that works on every other message board I belong to: simply using Advanced Search to search all terms, in quotes or AND'ed ... as I posted originally.

And limiting myself to titles when it's text and info I'm looking for? : Going to individual groups of fourms? Not very user-friendly at all.

I guess I'll stick to searching for free using Google it so I can get what I want. Which is just the sort of complicated search procedure I want to employ when freaking out over something at 3am. :

I wish you guys had not decided it wasn't worth it to have a good search for regular users or people just wandering in who don't feel basic information or the personal experience stories that augment it so well that is simply deleted every couple of years anyway is worth a "premium".

Also.. I get my results as posts instead of threads, that way I can search the specific posts to see if they are relevant..
