Is this normal?

School will be starting in less than two weeks and I still have not heard if my dd will be able to go to our local Montessori school. She has been on the waiting list for years. I have called and left messages for the teacher. I wrote the teacher a letter. Nothing.


I'm starting to take this personally.

That sounds like a red flag to me. Either they don't have it together or they are "avoiding" you. Either way, I'd look for another school. I mean, if their communication is no better than that for prospective parents/students, imagine what it is like for their parents who have children enrolled there.

I had my son on a waiting list for some months before he was accepted at his school and I would occasionally call and e-mail the HOS just to touch base & I always got a response.

Thanks. Half of me kept thinking that. I mean, I signing up to give them a bunch of money!

Well, they left me a message this afternoon. Elementary class full. They still have "openings" but not for the elementary class.

Wish there was another school. Everything else is religious which is not o.k. with me. I guess it is public school with a lot of involvement from me.

Why dont you go down there and talk to them about this? See where you are on the list. If school will be opening up real soon I would bet that someone will be in there next week working on getting things together. I am sorry your not able to get into this school yet. Hang in there. There is a reason that the M school is so popular. They rock!!!
