how long did it take to conceive after stopping the pill? - Page 2

It took nine months for me to get pregnant after getting off the pill, but we were not trying to get pregnant. We just stopped the pill and let nature take its course!

I would say to err on the side of caution in terms of the timing because you definitely don't want to get in a situation where you feel rushed to go back to work because you have no benefits.

I gained 49 lbs (!) during my pregnancy and ate healthily. I was the skinniest I'd been in a long time (thanks to Bikrams yoga) when I got pregnant and unfortunately that body size has been my goal to get back to which I don't think is realistic considering DS is only 10 months old. The bottom line is to respect your goddess, life-giving body and try not to get too attached to the guidelines you hear. Easier said than done!

Good luck!

I got PG while on the pill, specifically, yasmine. I'm not the only one either... some friends just had unplanned #3 and she was on yasmine too!
We were planning on TTC in summer 05 to have the baby in early spring 06. But, right after we bought our house in Feb 05, I got PG, despite the fact that I was on the pill.
So, I like to say that she was certainly not unplanned... she just got started a little earlier than we expected!

Well, I've decided to stop the pill. I (based on advice given by my OB/GYN) would like to see what my cycles are going to look like. Every day I go back and forth between TTC in Nov. or Oct. I want it to be NOW but realistically speaking, Nov. would be best (assuming I get pregnant immediately, which based on your responses is highly likely). It's good to know that a lot of you have conceived rather quickly. I really hope that happens for me!

Wish me luck ladies! Good luck to all of you in your TTC stages and your pregnancies. We're all in this together.

Don't you just love MDC?

Inspired, do you want this moved to the TTC area, or is it more of a Working Mama issue?

When I got off the pills it took us 3 months to conceive our son. Now I've been off the NuvaRing and we've been trying to conceive our 2nd child 7 months without luck yet.
