. . . and I'm okay, but it was a scary experience.
I was buying some supplements for DD#1 at the dispensary of a natural health clinic and out of no where blood started gushing down my legs and on to the floor. I just freaked out, I was there alone with Eloise and didn't know what was going on. They called 911 and took care of me until the paramedics showed up, I got an ambulance ride to the hospital (a gal from the dispensary--who I knew because I used to work at the clinic-- drove my car there with Eloise). My good friend spent the afternoon with Eloise and I in the ER while we mostly waited to find out what was going on. Turns out it's nothing big, probably just my body's response to over-doing it (I'm a single mama of a newborn and a toddler, um, yeah, I probably over-do it!).
Now I'm home and am trying to rest. It was such a scary experience. I've never been to the ER or ridden in an ambulance. I'm really, really glad someone I trusted could take Eloise and that my friend was there to help. Iris was with her dad for the day, so luckily she was also taken care of.
So, the moral of the story is PLEASE, NEW MAMAS, TAKE IT EASY! I hope you all have more help than I have had the past week and a half and are able to stay off your feet. Use this time for others to wait on you hand and foot!
