I'm pretty sure your cycles can start and stop again because of nursing...so I wouldn't worry too much about af coming back on time.

I have heard of not getting AF back, but not of it stopping and starting, but I could be wrong. Hormones are crazy!

Um, have you considered a blood test? :

Alice, maybe this was covered way back but do you have a sense of when you ovulated? Because delayed ovulation, of course, means delayed AF...

Congrats on the negative test mama

I'm honestly not sure, which is embarassing!! I have never really paid attention to ovulation, before my first pregnancy I was very very regular, 28-30 days, no exceptions!! Then I had two periods between pregnancies and they were like 45 cycles, which really threw me off. I've had two periods this time (one cycle) and it was 31 days. I did have a lot of very thick sticky mucus about 2 weeks ago, but I didn't mark the date. I figured that was around ovulation time.

So, your guess is as good as mine!!

I know, and I've come to terms with it. So has DH which is good. The bummer is I always wanted 2 or 4, not 3 (having to do with coming from a family of 3. That said if I am preggo I really really really want a boy so I don't have the exact same birth order as my family. I have lots of issues with my sister and my mom because of .....well, that's another thread, isn't it?)

oh, good, i'm glad this thread was bumped! i've been wondering about you, alice....how are you doing? any sign of af?
i think it is most likely a +
but, i agree that you should re-test in the AM with the first urine of the day...
one of those "early detection" tests are usually more sensitive.

good luck.

But, yeah, that would be uber safe.
That's what my Mom and Dad did.

After having dd, my cycles have been crazy, even after weaning. Sometimes they're 21 days apart, sometimes 35 days, or anywhere in between. I've been afraid that I'm pregnant SO many times in the past year, lol.

Good luck

Thanks everyone!!

I tested again on Friday and still negative. I am starting to think that it's just delayed AF, because at this point I would have some symptoms of pregnancy and I don't have a one! I am pretty sure it's just the nursing. I guess I scared AF off. Or someone has kidnapped her. Either way it 's fine. I can go without her for awhile , that's suppose to be on eof the benefits of nursing, right. I don't know why she visited twice only to leave again, but whatever!!

And pink milk- shame shame shame on you for suggesting twins!! That would leave me with 4 kids under 3!!! I shudder at the thought!:
