I find that this is the standard I hold for myself. I have to admit that the house is rarely pickedup when he comes home but he doesn't notice if it is unless I mention it. I do try to make the house a peaceful place and I am failing there- he said tonight that the baby's crying was driving him crazy. He was growling at the baby to be quiet. Sometimes I wonder how he thinks I manage all day. I do try but I am really upset today so I'm sorry for bashing him like this. he is a good man.:

No wonder so many women from that era are now bitter old ladies. I think I'd be a bitter young lady if I had to try to live up to that. I already beat myself up regularly and my dh isn't hard me at all.
