Do you use toothpaste?

Do you use toothpaste on your tots' teeth? What kind of toothbrush do you use?

We have one of those rubber tips with gentle bristles for DS, 13 mo. I brush his teeth with water (and our water does have fluoride).

Any advice? BTW, he nurses 24/7 and isn't too into solid food yet.

Thanks!

here is my opinion:

The only thing i would worry about is your baby getting enough EFAs in his diet (thru you) and that should take care of his teeth in my opinion. I would brush only with water. As long as your BM is giving him enough fatty acids it should take care of his teeth completely.

wetsonaprice.org is a great site imo.

Ditto to PP.

And I would stay far far away from fluoride, it's a neurotoxin.

My guy is 3 and we now use Toothsoap, the liquid cinnamon or citrus. Apparently regular toothpastes with glycerine coat the teeth and do not allow them to remineralize easily.
