Hi everyone,
I know you are all busy (I have a 4yr old, 2yr old + study, so I know how crazy things can be!) but I need to ask for 30 minutes of your time. I am working on a research project with the School of Psychology at Deakin University for my honours thesis and am looking for Mums (with biological children under 18 who are also living in a married or de facto relationship) to complete an online survey. It is completely anonymous and is looking at family dynamics in step and biological families.

The study instructions say that this is for Australian mothers. You might want to specify that in your posts, given that you're posting to an international forum.

Your right, I should clarify.
It is an Australian based survey but we have been gathering, and are very interested in international families as well. My apologies for not making that clear initially.
So, if you are happy to participate, please, don't let your nationality stop you!!

Thankyou...I'm looking for as many Mums as possible over the next week or two, so if anyone can help out, that'd be very much appreciated. I'm sure most of you would even find the survey interesting!

Thanks Joanna for the positive feedback, and more inportantly, for completing the survey.
The biggest challenge, unfortunately for me, is asking busy Mums to give up half an hour of their time. The actual topics are pretty good to think about and most Mums have told me that they have found it quite interesting. I think it's particularly nice to be able to think about what is rewarding and special about parenting your child.

I completed your survey and it took me about 20 min. Its a great survey -- my only suggestion is that next time you list page numbers so that its possible to see where you are relative to the length. Ie. -- "page 4 of 10" or whatever. I can imagine a busy parent "quitting" without realizing they were actually nearly done!

phathui5 - yes, postcode is the Australian version of a zipcode

mamaduck - Thankyou for your kind words, it's great to know you found it to be a good survey (it took me alot of time to put together!!). You are right though, I could have included page numbers, and we have done on the printed version that some Mums have completed. The only reason I didn't think of doing page numbers on the online version is that I assumed most people would scroll down the screen if they wanted to view ahead-it's good to get another opinion though and it's something that can easily be included in future surveys.
