what to do with hair on your hands?

OK, this isn't really a "natural hair and body care question" , but people on this board share all sorts of stuff about washing, hair and showering.

I have been growing my hair for about 18 months. It's down past my shoulders, the longest it's ever been in my life. My problem is in the shower. The hair is ALL OVER. My hands, my body, the tub. It drives me nuts. My biggest problem is my hands. How do you get the hair off your hands in the shower? It takes so long to pick off every piece, but I can't grab the soap with hair on my hands, or the hair gets in the soap! YUK!

I think I'm losing a normal amount. I do have lupus, and hair loss is a symptom, but I think this hair loss is normal. (When you lose hair in lupus, it's all over your pillow and bed in the am, or so I've read. And, my hair certainly isn't any thinner than before.)

This is a serious question. The last time I had longish hair (16 years ago, in college) I ended up getting it cut because it was all over the place.

I have longer hair (close to my butt) and when I wash it and squeeze the water out, I get globs of it on my hands too. I just straighten my arms and let the water run down them, and the water washes the hairs off my hands.
Then after each shower I grab the glob of hairs out of the drain with toilet paper.

I think that I can help on this one...after having 4 babies an BFing, I am the queen of hair loss...My best advice, is to brush your hair really well BEFORE you shower. I know that it sounds simple, but to get all of those loose hairs out before youget in there, there will be much less hair in hand, I promise. Also, I've noticed that if I wear a ponytail, or up in a clip, it keeps those loose hairs, that would have been lost with my head, resulting in a LOT of hair in the shower. Also just a tip, never brush or comb your hair when it's wet, that is how you break it off, and if ya wanna grow it long taking care of it is a must. BTW, I find that if ya brush b4 the shower, you don't really need to brush aftre anyhow. HTH, Kaara

Oh to answer the original ???? I rub my hands together and make a hair ball and set it aside to throw away after the shower.
