Mineral makeup

For those of you who wear mineral makeup, where can I get some?

I am looking for some makeup that is not too expensive and doesn't have anything yucky in it. I think mineral makeup is the way to go. I only need a little bit, as I usually only wear makeup 2 or 3 times a year (so samples would get me through for a while).

Thoughts or suggestions?

TIA!

Target and Walmart offer Physician's Formula makeup. The talc-free variety has the least amount of yuck in it, just a handful of ingredients.

I like it a lot.

Aubrey Organics makes mineral makeup with no yuck in it. They have a small kit of each of their colors and a brush. Since you don't use much it would last you forever. I bought it to see if I like it enough to buy the bigger ones and I love it.

Here's my favorite www.alimacosmetics.com

It's not the cheapest, but one little pot will last you a long time. The selection and customer service is awesome.

Here's a thread that was started a while ago on mineral makeup (it started as a question on Bare Minerals, but people offered suggestions on other mineral makeup):

I just got some from http://www.herbsofgrace.com and the service was amazing! I placed the order on a Wednesday night and had my stuff on Friday morning (from across the country). I appreciate that you can place an order for a small sample ($6) and try a bunch of things. And those samples may look small but they last a long time! I loved the stuff so much, I've placed a real order. I won't give up my makeup :-) I like it so much, so now I have a healthy alternative!

I've tried:

http://www.monave.com

http://pureluxecosmetics.com

http://aromaleigh.com/

and I was pleased with all of them, particularly Pure Luxe Cosmetics. All three of the websites offer samples that you can purchase.

I get my Bare Minerals at either QVC or eBay

Everyday Minerals is offering free samples, you just pay shipping and it's like $3.

LOVE EveryDay Minerals!!!

I bought the sample set, which is really enough to last you a whole month. It looks and feels great on my skin--not like a mask. It's also pretty inexpensive I think.

ITA! I bought Physician's Formula this week at Wal-Mart, and I love it!!! It feels as though I do not have makeup on, but it looks fantastic! BTW, it is less than $10.

This is a great thread! I have used bare minerals for 3 years and love it. My face breaks out less and everyone always comments on what a radiant complexion I have. I like that I can stop in an ulta store and see the colors in person before buying on ebay. I've tried the sheer miracle face colors and they just don't stay on the same way that bare minerals does. Sheer miracle sells a microdermabrasion fiber cloth that you use with water once or twice a week and it's awesome. It creates a really smooth and flawless surface to apply the minerals on. I love it.
I'd really like to try everday minerals and herbs of grace stuff because I've heard rad reviews about both.

I just ordered some free samples from Everyday Minerals! Hooray!

How long do you think they will last me? I generally wear makeup infrequently, but will need to play with this a little bit to get it right before I have to use it "for real".

Thanks for the tips!

You will love everyday minerals. I have tried a lot of them and EM is truly great - awesome product (with no yuck in it!), excellent customer service and great prices. They'll let you order more sample kits till you find the right colors for you I wear makeup daily and the sample kit lasted me about a month for foundation (I was mixing 2 colors to get the right tone) - still have TONS of blush left!

If you want some lip colors w/o having to mix yourself or put the mineral powder on your lips, try monave. I was a monave devotee until I found EM, but I still love the monave lippies - no petrochemicals, nasty preservatives, etc, smell great and nice colors. FWIW I stay away from Arbonne because they *do* use parabens and some synthetics in some of their products. Unless I can read a complete ingredient list, I don't buy.
