Nate smiles all the time in his sleep, but sometimes now as he falls asleep he opens his eyes briefly, checks me out, smirks, and dozes off. And yesterday I set him on the couchto take a 4 week old photo and he smiled really nicely for the camera! So freaking cute!!
Anybody else seeing those first smiles yet??

OMG yes! I SWEAR they are real! I know some of them are gassy smiles, like the sleepy ones, but there have been a few times that Lola has given me a big gummy grin when I was cooing at her, it looks so real!

I love the sleepy smiles. The first non-sleepy smile was so cute! He was nursing, let go, smiled at me and started nursing again. Ah, talk about melt my heart.

I've gotten the nursing smiles. They melt my heart. Today I was stroking his head while he was sleeping, I'd stop a few seconds and he'd smile every time I started up again. It was so sweet.

I was saying this the other day too. I totally don't believe they can't smile yet. Aria smiles at us all the time and sometimes when she is first waking up and spies us through one eye. Granted, some probably are gas smiles but some are DEFINATELY not!
