Does anyone use eos medicinally?

I've started a big research project of learning about eos. I still have quite a bit of reading to do but am curious about your experiences in using them for health-related issues. Would you mind sharing your stories whether successful or not?

I am currently treating my fungus-y toenails with an EO preparation an online friend made for me. As her goal is to sell the stuff with my witness to how well and in what ways it worked, I'm not going to share what she chose to use on me--other than that it is NOT tea tree oil.

It's helping, I think, but it's a very long slow process. We started back in Spring, and there's no current end in sight, though there have been changes in the affected nails.

I use apple cider vinegar and tell people to use it for:

- Diarrhea (human and dog)
- Sebhorreic dermatitis/severe oily dandruff
- Scabby scalps
- Itchy cootchies
- Help prevent/help subside epileptic seizure symptoms (human and dog)

I just whipped up a muscle pain ointment for a friend that has tea tree oil, eucalyptus, peppermint, lavender, olive oil, and a little bit of grapefruit essential to (hopefully) cut the smell. She said it worked great - she had sprained her shoulder from collarbone to shoulder blade and was in a foul mood. The combination of a few Alleves and the ointment worked wonders. She said it had a nice hot feeling on her muscles.

On monster zits, painful swollen areas and infected bug bites, I use tea tree oil combinations too. Tea tree and vinegar got rid of foot fungal infections too.

I've made an acne blend, and also use essential oils for gargling to prevent sore/strep throats.

I've massaged lavender oil on my wrists and temples to ward off a headache - that helped a lot.

I use herbal teas too. I have been reading into green tea with jasmine for a slew of benefits, including getting rid of headaches, lowering blood pressure and cholesterol. Hibiscus tea (Red Zinger) does that too. A combination of Red Raspberry and hibiscus helps with uterine fibroids. Chamomile for blood pressure, relaxing, and other benefits.

Still learning, still playing witch doctor (as my boyfriend and friends are starting to call me).

So far I have these essential oils at home, for which I use in medicinal, beauty, and house-cleaning preparations:

- Tea tree oil
- Eucalyptus
- Cedar Leaf
- Bergamot
- Orange
- Lemon
- I think I have Lime...maybe not
- Lavender
- and I can't think of what else

I have tons of EO informational links, I'm sure I listed a lot of them in another thread.

I've sucessfully treated athlete's foot with tea tree oil. I've also used TTO, mixed with coconut oil, to get rid of lice. I'm currently using a mixture of lavendar and rosemary oil (and will add geranium to the mix after i get a chance to get some) to prevent lice re-infestation- I put the oils in a spray bottle with water and we spray it on everybody's heads daily.

I do a lot of the same things as Spastica. using EOs in skin care, body care, health care and cleaning. Just be careful and use caution when handling EOs -- they are SO potent.
