cleaning waxed wood floors

We just moved and are renting a house with waxed wood floors. I have been instructed to clean them with Swiffer wetjet for wood floors and to not use water. I do not do swiffer wetjet. Anyone know of alternatives to cleaning the floor? I usually use vinegar and water to clean with, but I can't use water on the wood floors.
TIA!

What if you told your landlord that you'd like to comply, but you don't have a Swiffer and don't want to buy one. Perhaps s/he would be willing to supply one.

I used to just use a damp (not wet) mop to go over wood floors. Never found I had to use any cleaning solutions. I can't see how a damp mop would hurt the wood when it's waxed. I'd just not tell the landlord though.

thanks. the landlord did leave a swiffer, bottle of solution and pads. I just don't like using chemicals. The smell bothers me. plus the thought of walking on them. I may try damp mopping.

I rented a house with wood floors once and the landlady told me not to use anything except vinegar.

Straight vinegar? just on a damp mop?

Dump the bottle of "solution" risne the bottle and refill with the vinegar and water . I also add a little lavender oil to make is smell good. I have beautiful hardwood floors in my dining room and front hall and thats what I 've been doing for 2yrs. Once a week I do a really good scrub with a bucket and rag but still with vinegar and water.
I was told not to soak the floors but damp moping/rag cleaning was fine
I also used the hoover floor mate for a while until it got broken in the garage ( oops pulled up to close )

Awesome! That's what I've been doing for my kitchen floor, but was hesitant to use it on the wood floor in my entry way.
