Diva Cup ok to use all the time?

Ok, so I started using my diva cup last month, first pp af. It was great. Love it.

Anyway, I was sure my period was about to start today, so I popped it in this morning. Well, when I took it out, no af, but cervical fluid. (Argh, I just want my normal cycle back.)

Since we use nfp, I was wondering if it is ok to use the diva cup in this manner--to keep a close eye on cervical mucus?

I know that I saw somewhere on the diva cup site that it said that it wasn't dangerous as far as TSS, because it isn't absorbant like tampons, but thought I'd check to see what you ladies think.

Thanks

Emily

I don't see how this would be harmful, as long as you rinsed it out twice a day.

Personally I prefer to only wear my cup when needed!

I've had that happen, too. Interesting idea to use it for FAM/NFP.

My one concern would be irritation over time. I find that if I use my Diva for more than a few days in a row, I get irritated from taking it out and putting it back in and need to air out for a day or two. Fortunately I'm usually light enough at that point to use a cloth pantyliner. I probably wouldn't use mine every single day. Hmmm, maybe during the day but not at night?

yeah, that's more what I was thinking--just during the day or just a few days in the middle of my cycle.

Since I've just had one ff af, and my cycle's a little bit crazy right now, I thought that it would be handy to carefully watch cervical fluid during the time in my cycle when I'm just not sure what's going on, ykwim?
