I love the shape of a mother blog!!!

We are getting 8 or so hours a sleep straight each night (for now), but we do not sleep well during the day AT ALL, so I do not know which is better... a break during the day to get things done, or a full nights sleep : !

Gonna have a great weekend in Gulf Shores, AL to see a highschool friend! Mason and I are going and we are excited for the break! Sabbath, I will let you know how the plane ride goes and offer up some advice for your travels coming up, assuming everything goes well!

same here. I'm just learning to make peace with a messy house. I'm too tired to get up before the babe to do anything!

I don't understand! Why are you ladies having so many issues to work out? Is my DD just that easy? Did I recover well? I know none of you want to here this but I just want to relate with someone the same as me. Did anyone experience the excitement of fitting back into pre-pregnancy jeans after a month? Did anyone stop bleeding after 2 weeks? Has anyone elso got their period back yet? How about having sex again? We only had to wait a week and a half. My baby breastfeeds like a champ, has no nipple confusion when given a bottle. She does great with DH while I'm at work. She lets me get housework done. She sleeps through the night and still has 3 naps during the day. Anyone can put her to sleep. She doesn't get gassy and rarely has to burp. I get a shower everyday and every meal.I'm so excited about how great we're doing but I hate to tell other moms because I feel bad just incase I'm making them feel bad. Even my friends who haven't had babies envy my body. I feel so guilty that often I can't celebrate and tell the world how great it is.

So here I go....
The pregnancy was great and didn't slow me down a step. I was textbook begining to end. I went into labor on my due date and after 18 hours delivered naturally(It was easy! do you know how many people curse me when I say that?) the next day July 18. 5 minutes later I was going to the bathroom without pain on my own. That night I was walking around the hospital ready to go. while my DD slept through the night from day 1. I got home and picked up housework where I left off. I get everything done and me and DH do everything we did before DD, she goes everywhere with us. I went back to work at 7 weeks and love it. Our work schedual even allows for one of us to always be home with her. If I told you how perfect and great she's doing I'd be here all day.

I don't say this to make you feel bad I say this to finally let go and celebrate my little mircle!

I just have to say that I totally adore waking up to my little peanut every morning. I look into his gorgeous face and thank my lucky stars that we have a healthy happy beautiful baby. Every morning when I look at him a little bit of that sadness about his birth fades away.

She's growing and developing so fast. While I look forward to the years to come I'm sad because she will never be this little again. I just want our little Cricket to stay this way, I swear she changes overnight learning something new as she sleeps. Our video recorder has to be charged every day , it's the only way I can hold on to her forever.

Wow, somehow I completely missed the September thread!

Maria - I love the pics! DD doesn't smile too much, she always looks so serious!

I've been taking it one day (heck, one hour!) at a time here. My hubby was deployed about a month ago so it's been kind of a rough adjustment for me.

April and aydensmama - whatever I get done during the day involves baby in sling. Putting her down or - gasp! giving her to someone else to hold! - is a big no no. But she's sleeping a 7-9 hour stretch at night : so I really feel like a jerk if I complain!

Can i brag just a little???

dd3 has been sleeping thru the night. the night before, she did 11hrs in between nursing and this morning was 12hrs. I nursed her at 8pm both nights and then she woke up at 7 and then 8am. Let say that i'm more refresh and less tired.

Now just wondering if she will continue like that or if she will do like her big sister and start waking up after a while. DD1 slept thru the night from 2mths to 9mths then she started to wake up. Actually dd1 still wakes up and she is turning 4 in dec.

sonja, . i'm in awe of anyone who is doing some or all parenting solo. as much as i'm enjoying ds, there are definitely days when i can't wait for dh to get home.

quag and all the other with babes sleeping through the night ... send some of those vibes over here, would you? (i shouldn't really complain ... ds is starting to occasionally have a 4-5 hour stretch, so we aren't doing too badly. but still, 7-9 hours in a row just sounds so heavenly. )

would love some positive vibes my way. on thursday i have to take my son to a pediatric opthamologist. his right eye ball is protruding from his skull and they don't know what is wrong. he is also very very fussy right now (although that may just be his one tooth he's getting). i am trying not to freak out.

I'm concerned that we have thrush. I don't know why because Lochlan has no symptoms in his mouth or his bum. And the only possible symptom I have is that I have kind of a shooting pain in my breast but it might be due to my oversupply. I just can't believe we would have survived so many antibiotics without getting it.

For anyone who had it, did you have obvious symptoms?
